How to View, Download and Share your Rating Decision Letter
Need help viewing and downloading your rating decision letter? Here’s how
Always use our secure uploader to send us your documents.

Navigate to VA.gov

Tap “Sign in” in the top right-hand corner.

You'll see the “Sign In” page. Choose your preferred sign-in method, sign in, and authenticate.

Once you have signed in, the “My VA” page will appear.

Now you can get directly to your letters! Tap this link: Your VA Claim Letters
(If you prefer, you can copy and paste the URL into your address bar instead: https://www.va.gov/track-claims/your-claim-letters)

The “Your VA claim letters” page will appear.
Find the rating decision letter(s) you need and tap “Download letter (PDF)“.

A PDF of your rating decision letter will now be saved to your computer. It will look something like this:

Great job! You’re ready to use our secure uploader to send us a copy of your Rating Decision.
If you already have an email with a link to the secure uploader:
- Follow the instructions in the email.
If you do not already have an email with the secure uploader:
- Call or email your Battle Buddy Team and tell them to send you a link to the secure uploader.
- Follow the instructions in the email.
